Base map for an M50 NV with HX35

cool. someone on bimmer forums said my running dwell should be 1.6 and duration should be 0.3. Mine are set to 2.5 and 0.1. Should I try that setting out?

duration really shouldn't matter much being wasted spark, .1 should be fine. Try like 4 ms dwell and see what happens. Might not be fully saturating the coils. If that cures it then start lowering it down.

Thanks someguy, I solved this a while ago tho. coil 2 was dying and eventually fried. I also redid all my wiring and got OEM grounding stuff for the coils. Haven't had the problem since. Dwell is at 2.5 and doing fine. I hea ranything above 3 is potentially bad for the coils .

Guessing the Zetec he's talking about is the 1.9 or 2.0 Ford 4 cylinder engines.

Im gonna dig this one up from the grave.
I have basically the same setup as promotor
-m50NV
-ms1 V3
-turbo similar to hx40
-42lb injectors
and need a good base map just to get the car started. Is the MSQ that promotor posted on the second page acceptable to just get the car starting? Does anyone have any other base maps just to get the car idling?
