The turbo S50 was fun but i wanted more
![]() Turbo came in today, engine is broken down, head going out this week to get refreshed, time to order more parts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He gave me some S38 parts saying "dude can you make these look better" and of course I can He hooked me up with some E34 M5 parts so the least I can do is help him out.Here are the parts in the condition I got them in" ![]() Thats the external coolant passage manifold and the E30/S38 engine mount adapters. ![]() Manifold cleaned up pre-coating ![]() Coated mounts ![]() Coated manifold ![]() Got the head back today, it looks great. Multi-angle valve job, port and polish etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did some powder coating today, hopefully the engine reassembly will start soon ![]() And somehow this ended up in Roundel ![]() Stopped by and got the collector from Donovon, looks amazing. ![]() Engine is almost done, hopefully going in this Friday. Then Saturday ill make the turbo manifold, intake manifold, get a driveshaft made, figure out a cooling system,intercooler + piping, exhaust, install the standalone, work out the bugs, and tune it on the way to the BlownEuroz meet on Sunday ![]() If i don't run into any problems. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got the engine in today. It actually went in smoother then any other BMW engine I have done. Now for the fun... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did some work on the mani tonight, hopefully tomorrow that will be done along with the wastegate and some odds and ends. ![]() ![]() Manifold is done--almost:redspot ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Progress is going kinda slow, got the manifold/turbo done, waste gate, down pipe, and radiator. Gonna start working on the intake manifold and intercooler next. ![]() Almost done, car idled for the first time. Got a few bugs to work out, tune it, and then do doughnuts. ![]() ![]() ![]() Car is coming together finally. The torque is amazing and without too much timing @ 12psi it is a rocket. I ordered the euro valve cover so i could go COP (soo much cleaner and smoother) I have a lot more cleaning/polishing under the hood to do. Just trying to get things straightened out for the meet this Sat, also finally did the exhaust tip. I need a video camera to get some vids up. BTW antilag on this is nasty ![]() ![]() ![]() I ended up running it at 13.5psi with a safe smooth kinda low ignition table. Not too bad for 93 pump.

haha now its official...
new sweden is out there!! Jon looks good - I need to swing by and get more pics of it sometime maybe do some tuning. When are you going to let me powder coat that valve cover?

Great build. Blown S38s are insane on power. but as a fan of the E34 chassis, I have to ask what you did with the Avus chassis that engine came from?

Justin - that chassis didnt look bad, but no panel on it was straight. It was a hot color, but it was a hot dented to shit color. Jon parted it out.
